WebBrix is based on OpenFoundation, a platform designed
to create applications that manage devices. AMT is pleased to
introduce the next generation, the OpenFoundation Service, a
Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) solution.
OpenFoundation has the
largest install base and longest history (10+ years) of any
pure middleware platform product in the security industry.
In 2009, AMT
introduced a new OpenFoundation™ server process that will
run either standalone or as an IIS application to provide a
true web based Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). This service will evolve to provide the following benefits:
• Simplified installation of the server side components
• Rich client and ASP.NET applications can run on any machine and can easily communicate to the server through firewalls over HTTP.
• Powerful application partitioning making it easy to provide Software as a Service (SaaS).
• Failover clustering support provided by IIS and
SQL Server
• Powerful security and encryption provided by IIS
• An easy to learn lightweight client side .NET API
for developing ASP.NET, WPF, WinForms, Silverlight and Mobile applications
• Easy to use building blocks (Brix) that can be used to develop client side applications
• Support for Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista and Windows 7
